14 White Street is a 29,000 SF, seven-story, 10-unit mixed-use building located in TriBeCa. It is designed collaboratively between DXA and NAVA and was unanimously approved by the Landmarks Preservation Commission on March 7th, 2017.  The owners are seeking to increase the size of the development via a variance from the NYC Board of Standards and Appeals.  The construction is estimated to begin in early 2019 with completion 16 months later.

Each bronze panel is acid etched with the very line work used to fabricate the panel using CNC technologies. The panel angles and the resultant etching vary from window to window, capitalizing on the ease of customization in automated digital fabrication and allowing for smaller apertures at private spaces like bedrooms and bathrooms, and larger at public areas like living and dining rooms. Subtle references to qualities of the district are made throughout the design, deriving the proportions, cadence and textures found on many of its neighbors.
