This was a project to reimagine how a young family might inhabit a traditional Brooklyn Brownstone in a new and thought-provoking way. By cracking open the roof of the cellar to allow light in from the rear garden, a new dialogue is created across three floors, connecting the traditional living spaces of the kitchen, living and dining rooms, with the garden and a large subterranean rest and recuperation space.
